Adriana Calcev holds a Master in Organizational Psychology degree from IIT, Chicago. Adriana always had a passion for art. In 1998 she was painting Christian icons on glass and wood. This is when she got a Merit award from Du Page Art League for her Mary and the Child icon. Adriana became interested in oil painting in 2017. She took oil painting classes at Harper College, at Brigantine Gallery and Mainstreet Art Center in Lake Zurich. She studied with established artists like Susan Ploughe, Tom Henricksen, Frankie Johnson and Steve Puttrich. Adriana travels around the world with her husband, and she enjoys painting beautiful landscapes from exotic places like Vietnam, Cambodia and Nepal, which she was lucky to visit. Her main focus is on painting beautiful landscapes, but recently, she delved into portraiture painting, which she enjoys a lot. Adriana makes her home in Hoffman Estates, IL, where she lives with her husband.
